Wendy joined Dowell & Dowell in 1997. Beginning as a patent researcher, Wendy conducted patentability, infringement, and clearance searches, and validity and invalidity studies. These searches and studies encompassed a wide variety of subjects including sunscreen formulations, cleaning compositions, medical instruments and general mechanical devices. After successfully completing the agent registration exam in 2003, Wendy’s duties expanded to include prosecuting patent applications, filing foreign patent applications, and maintaining maintenance fee information.

In 2011, Wendy transitioned to a managing position where she now oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm. As the office administrator, Wendy is in charge of supervising office personnel, maintaining the firm’s docketing system, and ensuring that a variety of other administrative needs are attended to daily. Wendy’s administrative duties have not prevented her continued involvement in patent matters, as she continues to prosecute patent applications.

Prior to joining Dowell & Dowell, Wendy worked as Pharmacy Technician assisting with patient drug care, counseling and pharmaceutical preparation. While attending college, Wendy worked in medical administration as an Emergency Room Registrar.
