Wes joined the firm in 2016 after working with several Washington, D.C. IP law firms including running a solo practice. Wes’ focus is deeply rooted in IP law, particularly the preparation and prosecution of patent applications. He has a background in patent litigation acting as both plaintiff and defense counsel. Wes often advises clients on patentability, infringement, patent validity matters, post-grant proceedings, and prepares search reports and written opinions regarding the same. While Wes has worked with a wide range of technologies he concentrates on computer, electrical, and mechanical arts.
In addition to patent matters, Wes’ practice also includes the preparation and filing of trademark applications, the prosecution of trademark applications including responding to office actions, the filing affidavits of use and renewal applications for registered trademarks, and other trademark-related matters.
